Kim Jong Un Enjoys Extravagant Banquet Amid Gaudy Lighting And Nuclear Missile Display

North Korean state media has released footage of a lavish banquet hosted by leader Kim Jong Un which featured a decorative nuclear missile, Business Insider reported.

The banquet occurred ahead of North Korea’s Navy Day at a luxurious Pyongyang resort. The event followed a visit to the naval headquarters of the nation.

The video showcased Kim arriving in a Mercedes amid enthusiastic applause along with his wife, Ri Sol Ju and their 12-year-old daughter, Kim Ju Ae, accompanied him.

The banquet room was adorned with North Korean flags, chandeliers, flower centerpieces and colored lighting. The centerpiece was a scale model of a Hwasong-18 nuclear intercontinental ballistic missile, presented in mid-launch with a burst of pink flame at its base.

The venue was the Air Koryo Kobangsan Hotel, owned by the state carrier Air Koryo. Notably, the carrier is often ranked as the world’s worst airline, but it seems to excel in luxury hotels.
