Molycorp MCP spiked in the after-hours session on Thursday after the company reported earnings. Shares of the rare earth producer rose nearly 4% in after-hours trading.
Molycorp reported an adjusted loss of $0.45 in the fourth-quarter, worse than the $0.31 that was anticipated.
Molycorp has been a terrible performer over the last few years. Peaking near $75 in the spring of 2011, shares have tumbled over 90%. Molycorp closed at $5.99 on Thursday, and traded near $6.20 in the after-hours session.
