Ron DeSantis' Super PAC Chief Admits To Spreading Negative Intel On Rival Vivek Ramaswamy: 'Everything You Read About Him Is From Us'

The chief strategist for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ super PAC “Never Back Down” admitted to disseminating negative information about his primary opponent, Vivek Ramaswamy. The revelation was made during a private discussion with donors, Politico reported.

“Everything you read about him is from us,” Jeff Roe, the chief of Never Back Down told the gathering, an audio recording of which was obtained by Politico. These come in the wake of rising concerns about Ramaswamy’s increasing popularity.

Roe made the comments hours before the first GOP primary debate, where he admitted that a strong performance from Ramaswamy could pose a challenge for DeSantis.

Ramaswamy’s campaign responded to Roe’s comments by presenting them as evidence of their candidate’s momentum.

“When DeSantis's Super Pac campaign, Chris Christie, the New York Times, MSNBC and the rest of the bipartisan establishment are all going after you at the same time, you know you're right over the target,” said Ramaswamy spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin.

Recent polls have shown Ramaswamy posing a serious threat to frontrunners like DeSantis and former President Donald Trump.
