Notable figures like Kimbal Musk, brother of Elon Musk, and Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google, were seen at the Burning Man festival amid disorderly circumstances, Business Insider reported.
Conditions worsened drastically over the weekend, causing the shutdown of a private airspace often used by tech executives and entrepreneurs. This was due to severe weather conditions as reported by attendees.
Two major tech camps, Mirage Garage and Robot Heart, faced significant flooding, leaving tens of thousands of festival attendees stranded in the desert. This was after heavy rainfall turned the Black Rock Desert, where the event is held, into a muddy swamp.

Attendees were advised to take shelter and conserve resources following the closures of roads in and out of Black Rock City due to heavy rainstorms. Additionally, other tech figures including bitcoin entrepreneur Brock Pierce were spotted at the festival which was quickly turning into a disaster zone.
Burning Man, a Nevada event, has traditionally been a favorite among business magnates and has seen major tech players like Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes in previous years.
Despite the chaotic turn of events, representatives for Musk and Brin have yet to respond to Insider’s request for comment.
