Celebrity-Backed Weed Phenomenon: B-Real Confirms Details About New Dr. Greenthumb's Dispensary

Dr. Greenthumb's, one of California's most recognized cannabis retailers, is opening another retail location in the Golden State.

The new store will officially open on September 16. A day-long celebration hosted by B-Real, rapper of legendary hip-hop group Cypress Hill and a cannabis entrepreneur, will celebrate the opening at 12235 Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles, B-Real reps confirmed exclusively to Benzinga.

VIP giveaways for the first 250 guests, food trucks, lowrider car displays, live music, celebrity appearances and other surprises will be part of the grand opening.

Dr. Greenthumb's dispensaries have been part of the California cannabis landscape for half a decade. From its beginnings in 2018 and its first Los Angeles store, Dr. Greenthumb has quickly expanded its offerings to include a flower line, vapes and other smoking devices.

"I've been so excited about opening another store in LA," B-Real said. "Any time I open a store, it's a win, but given the reality of California's legal market in the last few years, this store opening feels especially significant."

Daniel Sosa, B-Real's West LA dispensary partner says he's thrilled with the move and his partnership with B-Real.
