Kia KIMTF has introduced its latest electric SUV, the EV5, in a recent video showcasing the vehicle’s interior and exterior features, Electrek reported.
Kia had officially unveiled the compact EV5 electric SUV at the Chengdu Motor Show in China, less than two weeks ago.
Focusing on the needs of millennial families, the EV5 features a “Tiger Face” design, replacing the traditional “Tiger Nose” grille, a strong rugged look with a boxy silhouette, and robust fenders.

The EV5’s interior is designed with a homely touch, resembling a lounge more than a traditional car cabin. It also offers dual displays, consisting of a central infotainment system and a digital gauge cluster.
The vehicle is expected to compete with Tesla Inc TSLA Model Y, targeting a starting price of approximately $22,000. It will be launched in China on Nov. 17, with exports to other markets to follow.
Kia has not confirmed whether the EV5 will be introduced in the U.S. market. However, with the increasing popularity of SUVs, the EV5 could help the brand transition into the EV era, as it aims for 1.6 million EV sales globally by the end of the decade.
