Nvidia Corporation NVDA has released an update to enhance Microsoft Corporation's MSFT "Starfield" performance on RTX 30 and 40-series graphics cards.
This update, distributed via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update, is designed to provide an average performance increase of 5% on GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs, IGN reported.
"Today, Nvidia is releasing a Resizable BAR profile for Starfield which increases performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Series desktop and laptop GPUs," Nvidia said.
“In our testing scenario, GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs see on average a 5% increase in performance. The Starfield Resizable BAR update will be pushed via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update from NVIDIA and will be automatically applied for gamers running the latest Game Ready Driver (537.34) or the previous release (537.17)," the company added.
Nvidia has also introduced one-click optimal settings for Starfield.
Notably, Bethesda's latest release does not support Nvidia's DLSS technology, and the PC version officially supports Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.'s AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) while excluding Intel Corporation's INTC Xe Super Sampling (XeSS).
This update aims to address concerns raised by players and tech experts who found "Starfield's" performance lacking on Nvidia and Intel hardware compared to AMD.
Since its early access release, "Starfield" has gained significant popularity, becoming Bethesda's largest game launch with over six million players.
