Tesla Marks Its 50,000th Supercharger By Painting It In Striking Red Color — Here's Where You Can Find It

EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA, on Thursday, posted a picture of a supercharger painted a special red, different from their usual white and red ones.

The red supercharger is the 50,000th supercharge put up by the EV maker. It is located at Roseville, California and has a plaque at the bottom commemorating the milestone.

Tesla kickstarted its supercharging network in 2012 with a few superchargers and scaled it to 50,000 in 11 years. The company claims that superchargers can add up to 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.
"With 50,000+ Superchargers, Tesla owns and operates the largest global, fast charging network in the world," Tesla says on its website.

Several automakers have announced a collaboration with Tesla to access its supercharger network by adopting its North American Charging Standard. Japanese automaker Honda is the latest to jump aboard the bandwagon which already has Ford, General MotorsMercedes-BenzRivian and Polestar, among others.
