Apple Inc.’s AAPL CEO, Tim Cook, met with Spain’s most decorated Paralympian, Teresa Perales, and discussed the practical applications of Apple Watch in her training and accessibility efforts.
What Happened: During his visit to Spain, Cook met with Perales, a gold medalist with an exceptional collection of 27 medals spanning six Paralympic Games.
Cook shared a video of Perales training in a swimming pool. She is currently preparing for her seventh appearance at the upcoming Paralympics in Paris 2024.

The meeting between Cook and Perales was marked by a shared commitment to accessibility and the role of technology in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities — in Cook’s case, it’s the Apple Watch. Perales praised Apple for the accessibility features of the wearable.
In addition to their meeting, Cook’s visit to Spain included interactions with other notable figures. He shared a photograph clicked by Erea Azurmendi using 5x Telephoto on iPhone 15 Pro Max and visited Real Madrid, where he met with the club’s president, Florentino Pérez.
Why It’s Important: For the unversed, earlier this month, Apple launched its latest smartphone series, the iPhone 15, the new AirPods Pro with a USB-C case, the Apple Watch ULTRA 2, and Apple Watch Series 9.
Previously, it was reported that while orders for the highest-end iPhone 15 models are already backlogged until mid-November in several countries, other newly launched products received a more subdued response online.
