GE Vernova & EnergyHub Join Forces For DER Management, Grid Optimization

General Electric Company GE GE Vernova's Digital business has teamed up with EnergyHub, both notable figures in Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) software, for a transformative approach for electric utilities handling distributed energy resources (DERs).

These DERs encompass solar power, energy storage, electric vehicles, and several other technologies becoming mainstream in the energy sector.

Blending the superior grid enhancement features of GE Vernova's GridOS DERMS with the vast DER portfolio managed by EnergyHub, the partnership aims to create an efficient, scalable tool for overseeing emerging energy assets.

Through this collaboration, utilities gain the capacity to aggregate larger DER sets, enhance grid load adaptability, tap into novel energy storage avenues, and harness data to refine grid operations, leading to enriched consumer interactions.

"Together, we can empower utilities to unlock the full potential of emerging energy sources within the grid. By adopting our joint solution, utilities can accelerate their grid modernization initiatives today and prepare for the grid of the future," said Mahesh Sudhakaran, General Manager, Grid Software at GE Vernova's Digital business.

Serving more than 90 clients and overseeing 127 million utility service touchpoints globally, GridOS DERMS delivers an exhaustive suite of modular tools covering the entire spectrum of the DER experience.
