Canadian musician, Grimes, suggests that pop star Taylor Swift could be a unifying presidential candidate.
Grimes expressed her thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, “In many ways Taylor Swift is the only presidential candidate who can unite the country,” Business Insider reported.
She also suggested that Swift would be “actually unbeatable” as a Republican candidate.
However, Grimes later added that a presidential run is “probably exceptionally unadvisable” for Swift’s mental health.
This is not the first time Swift has been encouraged to enter the 2024 presidential race. On Oct. 2, Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former White House communications director for Donald Trump, voiced similar sentiments.
Grimes, who has three children with billionaire Elon Musk, has previously stated that she does not have a preferred political party. Musk, in contrast, has shown his support for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ presidential bid.
Swift, who is not officially running, has demonstrated her influence in politics, recently supporting Vote.org to achieve its most successful Voter Registration Day since 2020.
