Toyota Motor Corp TM has announced its decision to resume operations in certain production facilities starting Monday.
These plants were temporarily shut down after an incident at a vendor's establishment.
Toyota declared last Friday that they'd recommence manufacturing at four facilities spanning five production lines. These were previously disrupted due to a mishap on Monday at Chuo Spring, their key supplier.
However, six other plants incorporating eight production lines will remain non-operational, Reuters reported.
Among the plants still under suspension is a unit located at Toyota's Takaoka facility. Additionally, other affected lines fall under the purview of Toyota’s group firms: Toyota Industries, Toyota Auto Body, and Gifu Auto Body.
Chuo Spring, known for its production of engines, valves, and various other springs, confirmed its plan to renew operations at the site impacted by the accident after completing the necessary equipment repairs.
Price Action: TM shares are trading lower by 0.58% at $173.68 at the last check Friday.
