Dogecoin DOGE/USD co-creator Billy Markus popularly known as Shibetoshi Nakamoto, expressed his hopes for Bitcoin’s BTC/USD monumental price surge.
What Happened: In an X, formerly Twitter, exchange with The Coach 𝕏Đ (also known as @thedogecoach), Markus shared his sentiments on the future of cryptocurrencies and shed light on his relationship with Dogecoin.
The DOGE co-creator on Tuesday wrote on X, "I have 0.01 bitcoin now so I hope it goes to a trillion dollars." To this, thedogecoach responded, "It slightly hurts me that you don't love Doge. You created something that brings many of us together and may well be a vehicle that we can all exchange on X."

Why It Matters: Markus responded back saying, “My 3 favorite cryptos are Bitcoin, Ethereum ETH/USD, and Doge, adding, "I don’t talk about Doge much because certain ‘community’ members are either hyper-entitled or actually evil and threatening.”
When prompted by The Coach 𝕏Đ regarding a potential return to actively engaging with Dogecoin, Markus responded, “If all of those people went away, I would talk about it more. Otherwise, there’s no utility to me.”
Coinciding with Markus' hopeful vision for Bitcoin’s price surge, there has been a significant development in the cryptocurrency world. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, a highly anticipated spot Bitcoin ETF, has made an important stride towards its launch. The ETF has secured a spot on the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) curated list, signaling notable progress in its journey to becoming a reality.
Price Action: At the time of writing, DOGE was trading at $0.06811, up 8.61% in the last 24 hours, according to Benzinga Pro.
