Joe Biden And Donald Trump Deadlocked At 37% As RFK Jr. Affects Trump's Narrow Lead: New Poll

According to a recent USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are tied at 37% support each while independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. won 13% of the vote, one year before the next presidential election.

USA Today reported that the survey was conducted with 1,000 registered voters. Progressive activist Cornel West, another independent contender, holds 4% support, with his backers likely to choose Biden if West wasn’t running.

Notably, without Kennedy, Trump would lead Biden narrowly 41% to 39%, while without West, Biden would edge out Trump 38% to 37%. However, if neither Kennedy nor West were in the race, Biden and Trump would tie at 41% each.

Despite his legal woes, Trump has solidified his grip on the Republican nomination, leading the GOP field at 58%, a 10-point increase from a USA TODAY/Suffolk Poll in June. Meanwhile, Biden’s approval rating stands at 40%, with 56% disapproving.

Interestingly, 26% of voters indicated they would seriously consider supporting a bipartisan ticket fielded by a centrist group called No Labels. Biden supporters were more likely to consider this option compared to Trump voters, 28% against 18% respectively.

The poll also reveals a disparity in voter enthusiasm between the two main candidates, with Trump scoring an average of 7.1 out of 10, while Biden lagged behind at 6.28.
