Qualcomm QCOM CEO Cristiano Amon has confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy S24 from Samsung SSNLF will reintroduce the use of Exynos chips, alongside Qualcomm’s own processors.
According to 9to5Google report, last year’s Galaxy S23 lineup exclusively used Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. However, Samsung has decided to return to its previous practice of offering models with different chipsets, including its own Exynos processors.

The processors used in the Galaxy S24 will be determined by region, except for the S24 Ultra which will exclusively use a Qualcomm chip. The exact Exynos processor to be used in the Galaxy S24 and S24+ remains unknown.
The move follows Qualcomm's recent earnings call, during which Amon disclosed that 2022 saw Qualcomm gain a significant market share in Samsung devices, a trend they expect to continue in 2023.
The Galaxy S24 series is set to be announced in mid to late January, slightly ahead of Samsung’s regular release schedule.
