Just in time for the holiday season, Meta Platforms Inc. META introduces a special bonus program for Instagram content creators to enhance their earning potential through engaging posts and reels.
As reported by PYMNTS, Meta is launching an exclusive holiday bonus for select Instagram creators in the United States, South Korea, and Japan. This initiative aims to incentivize creators for their unique contributions to the platform.
The holiday bonus will be available to invited creators who can earn additional income based on the popularity of their reels and photos, provided they adhere to Meta’s content monetization policies. The test program is set to run until the end of the year.
Beyond the holiday bonus, Meta is enhancing subscription features for creators on both Facebook and Instagram. The company’s blog highlights over 1 million active subscriptions to Instagram creators and the recent expansion of this feature to 35 new countries.

New tools introduced include promotional aids like the Subscribe button’s visibility in followers’ feeds and simplified engagement with new subscribers via direct messages and Stories.
For Facebook creators, Meta is implementing additional ways for followers to subscribe, including through Facebook Reels and Stories. The social media giant is also enabling creators to offer their fans free 30-day subscription trials and to adjust their subscription prices over time.
In a discussion with Marie-Elise Droga, Fintech Head at Visa, PYMNTS underscored the significance of the creator economy. Droga emphasizes that creators, resembling a burgeoning SMB sector, should not be overlooked by financial services, given the vast potential of the nearly $1 trillion social commerce market.
These new bonuses and tools follow Meta’s recent rollout of features aimed at enhancing content performance for creators, including a Reels A/B testing tool for mobile users.
