Tesla Inc's TSLA North American Charging Standard (NACS) is taking over the electric vehicle (EV) world.
With Lucid Group Inc LCID the latest to join the NACS train, the new charging standard by Tesla seems unstoppable. But there are still some holdout companies.

Most notable here are Volkswagen and Stellantis STLA, but they both probably have a good reason. At this time, Stellantis is barely producing any EVs in the U.S., so has little incentive to announce the use of NACS. And Volkswagen of course owns the mostly unreliable Electrify America charging network, which is in a way now competing with Tesla's NACS Supercharger network.
Either way, it seems Tesla has taken over American charging infrastructure. It's only a matter of time before others make the switch or end up left out of the most expansive charging network in North America.
