Tesla's Model Y Now Available in Miniature: Diecast Model In Three Colors Available For Enthusiasts

Keeping in mind all diecast collectors, enthusiasts and children, EV giant Tesla Inc TSLA has released a diecast 1:18 scale Model Y at its shop.

What Happened: The diecast model Y is priced at $195 and is available in three colors, namely red, blue and white. It was designed by the Tesla design studio and every curve and surface is replicated from the same 3D CAD data used to manufacture the original Model Y vehicles, the company says on its website.

The small-scale model of Tesla's most popular car has functioning doors, a front trunk, a rear liftgate and even a panoramic glass roof. However, it is not suitable for children below 14 years of age given that it poses a choking hazard with its small metal and plastic parts.

Interestingly, besides red, blue and white, the original Model Y is also available in silver and black. However, these two color options are not available on the diecast.

Other Tesla Diecasts:  Besides the Model Y, the Tesla shop also has diecast 1:18 scale Model 3 and Roadster. The 1:24 scale semi truck, though listed on the website, is marked as out of stock. However, all these other mini teslas are priced at $20 less at $175.

The mini version of Tesla's more premium models– the Model S and X- as well as its upcoming Cybertruck are missing at the online store.
