Bhupen Wakankar, director of global trade at Amazon, expressed enthusiasm for the growing number of entrepreneurs who have joined the venue this year and indicated plans to scale up exports, Reuters reports.

Demand for "Made in India" organic health supplements, homeware, and robotic games has surged ahead of the Black Friday Cyber Monday sale period, the report adds.

Amazon Global Trade, the company's business-to-consumer export platform, launched in 2015 with a few sellers, has gained traction in India and now includes over 100,000 small manufacturers offering various products to international customers.

Many of these sellers are first-time exporters who have experienced 70% annual business growth through the e-commerce platform.

Amazon's logistics support and access to its 200 million Prime members worldwide have been instrumental in this growth. The highest sales growth on the forum has been observed in categories like beauty, apparel, home, kitchen, furniture, and toys.

Indian products are in demand during holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, and New Year in markets such as the U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, and Germany, as per the report.

To support exporters, Amazon has reduced the subscription fees for its global selling program to $1 for the first three months for those signing up before March 31. This initiative comes as India's goods exports saw a 7% YoY decline in the first seven months of the fiscal year.

Price Action: AMZN shares traded higher by 0.10% at $142.97 premarket on the last check Friday.
