Shares of Ross Stores, Inc. ROST surged during Friday’s session as the company reported upbeat results for its third quarter and raised FY23 earnings guidance.
Ross Stores reported quarterly earnings of $1.33 per share, surpassing estimates of $1.21, representing a 33% increase over earnings of $1.00 per share from the same period last year. Revenue clocked in at $4.92 billion, above the analyst consensus estimate of $4.82 billion, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
The company raised its full-year 2023 earnings per share outlook from between $5.15 and $5.26 to between $5.30 and $5.36.
Ross Stores shares climbed 8.8% to $130.67 on Friday.

- Globant S.A. GLOB jumped 12.4% to $205.73 following upbeat third-quarter results.
- Brookdale Senior Living Inc. BKD rose 11.2% to $5.03. RBC Capital upgraded Brookdale Senior Living from Sector Perform to Outperform and raised the price target from $7 to $9.
- Tenet Healthcare Corporation THC gained 11% to $64.60 after it inked a deal with Novant Health to sell three hospitals and related operations in South Carolina for around $2.4 billion in cash.
- CRISPR Therapeutics AG CRSP gained 8.4% to $64.50. CRISPR Therapeutics recently announced regulatory authorization of the first CRISPR/Cas9 gene-edited therapy.
- Manchester United plc MANU gained 7.4% to $19.79 following a report suggesting Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos Sports is in talks to buy a 25% stake in the club for $33 per share.
- Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF gained 7.4% to $74.10.
- The Buckle, Inc. BKE rose 7.3% to $37.50 following upbeat earnings.
