Amazon Steps Up AI Focus With Free Training Initiatives And Partnerships

Amazon.com, Inc AMZN announced “AI Ready,” a new commitment to provide free artificial intelligence skills training to 2 million people globally by 2025.

The initiatives include free generative AI courses, an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Generative AI Scholarship, and a new collaboration with Code.org.

AWS will provide Udacity scholarships worth over $12 million to over 50,000 high school and university students globally from underserved and underrepresented communities.

Amazon also collaborated with Amazon Future Engineer and Code.org to launch Hour of Code Dance Party: AI Edition. During this hour-long introduction to coding and AI, students will create their virtual music video set to hit songs from artists, including Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, and more.

Earlier, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy predicted that generative AI would drive "tens of billions in revenues." 

Price Action: AMZN was up 0.05% to $145.25 premarket at the last check Monday.
