Stewart, a retail businesswoman, writer and TV personality, found a way to combine her passion for cooking and cannabis years ago.

"I discovered CBD several years ago as a simple, effective, and natural solution to help address the discomforts of everyday life,” she said in a press release. “Having benefited greatly from it myself, I set out to create a delicious and premium line of gummies that taste as good as they make you feel."

Tara Rozalowsky, chief growth officer and president of international at Canopy Growth praised the years-long collaboration with Stewart.

"Martha Stewart is a trusted household name because people of all ages turn to her for candid advice and simple, sensible solutions to everyday problems,” Rozalowsky said. “The new Martha Stewart CBD needs-based gummies deliver just that – accessible, reliable relief when and where you need it most."

Stewart took an advisory role at Canopy in February 2019 as part of the collaboration between Canopy and Sequential Brands Group, Inc. In September 2020, the partnership resulted in a new line of hemp-derived wellness supplements.

But then, Sequential Brands filed for bankruptcy protection in 2021 with $426 million in funded debt, reported Reuters at the time.

Nevertheless, the collaboration between Canopy and the "Domestic Diva" yielded a myriad of new products in subsequent years, including Martha Stewart CBD Wellness Gummies Sampler, a new line of CBD for Pet products and a limited-edition wellness gummy, Pumpkin Spice, to name a few.
