Tech company, Numbers Protocol, is celebrating reaching 1 million IoS and Android users for its Capture Cam application. Capture Cam is a mobile application that enables content creators to establish ownership and context of their content at the moment of production. Capture Cam helps users seal content information on its blockchain technology while granting them access to ecosystem applications from the app without relying on third-party platforms.

Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer of Numbers Protocol, Sofia Yan, who has over eight years of experience in business development and marketing, says since its creation in 2021, the Capture Cam has brought integrity and authenticity to the digital content space with its decentralized photo network that makes digital content both traceable and verifiable. Yan explains that, with trust in digital media at an all-time low, Numbers Protocol took it upon itself to bring integrity and authenticity to the digital content space using blockchain technology.

She says digital media has become an integral part of the global system, as it is used to provide information, education, and entertainment. According to Yan, Capture Cam has been providing solutions to digital media’s numerous challenges, such as being untraceable, unverifiable, easily copied, and manipulated. She observes that rampant misinformation makes it impossible to tell what is true or misleading, alleging that some big tech companies tend to manipulate access to information.

“Capture Cam is the first wallet for photo assets, and the world’s first blockchain camera built for Web 3.0. It addresses the four major digital media problems: ownership, copyright, provenance, and ecosystem. Through Capture Cam, we established an authentic, secure, and decentralized photo authenticator in the Web 3.0 space. With the Capture Cam, when an image is shared over the internet, the information that the original creators saved remains with the images. Wherever such image is reshared, the information is shared along with it, making it traceable, and increasing reliability. This also makes it easy to identify the original source and creator of such content, preventing copyright infringement or intellectual property theft,” Yan reiterates.

She emphasizes that, with the creation of the Capture Cam, Numbers Blockchain has been supporting media history commitments, asset monetization, license NFT minting, royalty distribution, and asset collection creation. According to her, the one million user milestone is a proof of how the Capture Cam has gained massive acceptance from creators and other digital media stakeholders. Yan reveals that Numbers Protocol decided to leverage the NFT boom of 2021 to highlight Capture technology further, while demonstrating how it can provide solutions to the authenticity and legitimacy issues that had plagued the digital content industry.

According to her, it is impossible to capture two images that have the exact same circumstances. As a result, every image comes with a certificate of authenticity, which establishes its ownership and unique status. She concludes that Numbers Protocol hopes to double the number of Capture Cam users by the next year to continue solving the many challenges facing digital asset owners, including copyright infringement. The company says it is open to partnering with more businesses, marketing and creator stakeholders in order to reach this next milestone.
