New And Returning Apple Card Users Score Exclusive Subscription Deals Until Jan. 31

Apple Inc. AAPL has unveiled a new set of perks for Apple Card users. The tech giant is offering up to three months of free subscription to most of its online services.

What Happened: The Apple Card offer encompasses services such as Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, and Apple News+. However, the deal does not extend to iCloud plans and Apple One bundle subscriptions.

The offer was first spotted by X user Antonio Chavez, and reported by 9to5mac.

The offer is unique to each service, implying that users are not required to subscribe to all services to enjoy the benefit.

According to Apple, new subscribers will be granted a three-month free subscription, while qualified returning subscribers can avail up to a two-month free subscription. Unfortunately, current subscribers are not eligible for the free months.

"Apple Card users who are new subscribers to Apple TV+, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple Fitness+, or Apple News+ get three free months of each service," the company clarified on its website.

The offer is valid until January 31. The subscription will be automatically renewed after the promotion is terminated.

To access and use all Apple Card features and products available only to Apple Card users, you must add Apple Card to Wallet on an iPhone or iPad that supports and has the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.

Why It Matters: Apple teamed up with Sony Group Corp. SONY to offer free subscription services as part of a promotion. In November 2023, Sony Group Corp. SONY offered a free six-month subscription to Apple Music for PlayStation 5 owners.

More recently, Apple started dispatching 1099-INT tax forms to holders of its Apple Card Savings accounts who have received $10 or more in the form of interest during the previous year.
