Ethereum Tops $2,900 Following Jobless Claims Data; SingularityNET Emerges As Top Gainer

Bitcoin BTC/USD moved higher, but the cryptocurrency prices trading past the key $51,000 level on Thursday.

Ethereum ETH/USD also recorded gains, trading above the key $2,900 mark this morning.

SingularityNET AGIX/USD was the top gainer over the prior 24 hours, while Arweave AR/USD turned out to be the biggest loser.

U.S. initial jobless claims fell by 12,000 to 201,000 in the week ending Feb. 17, compared to market estimates of 218,000.

At the time of writing, the global crypto market cap rose to $1.98 trillion, recording a 24-hour gained of 1.5%. BTC was trading higher by 0.3% at $51,461 while ETH rose by around 2.1% to $2,978 on Thursday.
