Electric vehicle leader Tesla Inc TSLA has changed the charging game with a vast network of charging stations around the world, including many that are now being opened up to other automotive companies.
Tesla’s vision for integrating a drive-in theater and diner with a charging station could redefine the future of electric vehicle infrastructure.
What Happened: As shared previously by Benzinga, Tesla CEO Elon Musk envisioned having a Supercharger location that has a diner and drive-in theater.
This vision is set to materialize at a Supercharger station in Los Angeles, California, which has been under development for years to fulfill this ambitious concept.
According to a report from Teslarati, the concept could be nearing completion, with the first movie screen getting installed for the drive-in theater.
The report said another movie theater screen is likely to be installed in the future, with Musk envisioning playing old classic movies on the screens while electric vehicle customers charge their vehicles.
Photos seen by Teslarati also show progress on the diner over the past few months.

Why It's Important: The electric vehicle company broke ground on the Supercharger location in California in September after receiving the appropriate permits.
The site was originally planned to open in 2022 at a different location, before several setbacks pushed the new concept style Supercharger location to the Hollywood area.
Site concept designs that may not be entirely accurate brand the diner as "Millways," which is the restaurant in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy," which is one of Musk's favorite books.
Musk previously tweeted about a concept restaurant and drive-in theater style charging location in 2018.
"Gonna put an old school drive-in, roller skates & rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations in LA," Musk tweeted.
Musk also previously said that meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin DOGE/USD would be accepted at the Supercharger location, but didn't say whether this meant as a payment option for the diner, theater or both.
"And, of course, you can pay in Doge," Musk said.
With thousands of Supercharger locations open worldwide, Tesla's concept location with a diner and drive-in theater could become one of the most popular and busy as a must visit location for fans of Tesla and Musk.
TSLA Price Action: Tesla shares trade at $186.94 on Monday, versus a 52-week trading range of $152.37 to $299.29.
