Nvidia Corp. NVDA has announced a new software framework that will enable developers to seamlessly integrate their digital twin scenes with the Apple AAPL Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays.
What Happened: At its annual Nvidia GTC event on Monday, the Jensen Huang-led company unveiled a new software framework built on Omniverse Cloud APIs. This will allow developers to send their Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) industrial scenes to the Nvidia Graphics Delivery Network (GDN).
The GDN is a global network of graphics-ready data centers that can stream advanced 3D experiences to the Apple Vision Pro, according to the company.
A live demonstration at the event showcased an interactive, physically accurate digital twin of a car being streamed in full fidelity to the Apple Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays.
The demo featured a designer using a car configurator application developed by CGI studio Katana on the Omniverse platform.
This new Omniverse-based workflow combines Apple Vision Pro’s high-resolution displays with Nvidia’s powerful RTX cloud rendering, delivering spatial computing experiences with just the device and an internet connection.

Rev Lebaredian, vice president of simulation at Nvidia, said, "Apple Vision Pro is the first untethered device which allows for enterprise customers to realize their work without compromise."

Earlier this month, a U.K. surgeon successfully used Apple Vision Pro for assistance during a spinal operation, emphasizing the increased confidence in surgery that the technology brings.
