  • The billionaire predicted AI would mint the world's first trillionaire.

After Mark Cuban predicted the “world’s first trillionaire” would be someone that “masters AI,” Benzinga took a look at the billionaire’s crypto portfolio and found his investments back up his bullish AI predictions.

What Happened: Arkham Intelligence data shows Cuban's portfolio holdings, with the top asset being 12.89 million tokens of an AI cryptocurrency called Artificial Liquid Intelligence ALI/USD, valued at $330,800.

His next-biggest holding is 244,117 tokens, valued at $42,930, of SuperRare RARE/USD, an NFT marketplace.

The next two holdings are Optimism OP/USD and Polygon MATIC/USD with 2,139 tokens (worth $6,820) and 1,516 tokens (worth $1,390), respectively.

Cuban’s position in Catcoin, a cat-themed meme coin, valued at $1,180.

Notably, Catcoin in the past month witnessed a 1,200% surge and SuperRare saw a 18% gain.

Cuban’s Ethereum ETH/USD holdings are worth a modest $394.

The rest of his portfolio, worth around $390,000 are smaller position worth less than $1,000. At its peak in July 2022, Cuban’s portfolio was worth over $13 million.

Why It Matters: At a SXSW Conference and Festivals in 2017, Mark Cuban expressed that the world’s first trillionaire would emerge not from the traditional tech sector but from someone pioneering in artificial intelligence.

While his statement seemed very far-fetched at a time when AI was merely a sci-fi plot, he said, "First trillionaires are going to come from somebody who masters AI and all its derivatives and applies it in ways we never thought of."

Crypto Kazi in a recent tweet stated, "Just seems like AI coins are getting started. The real FOMO hasn't started yet" while a Bitcoin and altcoin trader, Mister Crypto, tweeted, "I should probably go all in on AI coins this cycle."

What’s Next: The influence of artificial intelligence on cryptocurrency investments is a topic expected to be thoroughly explored at Benzinga’s upcoming Future of Digital Assets event on Nov. 19.
