Credit Agricole SA CRARY reported a strong rise in its second-quarter net profit.
Credit Agricole's quarterly net profit surged to 696 million euros ($922.7 million), from €56 million, in the year-ago period.
Analysts were expecting a profit of €568 million.
Credit Agricole shares closed at $5.13 yesterday.
