Acannability, the first advertising cooperative within the cannabis sector, has secured a significant Public Service Announcement (PSA) allocation from industry leader Curaleaf CURLF. This collaboration aims to enhance consumer awareness through education-based advertisements.
Curaleaf's chairman, Boris Jordan, by the way, is a featured speaker at the highly anticipated Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference in Florida on April 16-17, where he will impart invaluable insights and expertise.
Education For Elevating Cannabis Industry Standards
Curaleaf’s contribution of media space propels Acannability’s mission to disseminate accurate information about cannabis. As Acannability welcomes Curaleaf, a multi-state operator (MSO) with a footprint in Europe, the alliance is poised to elevate the quality and accessibility of cannabis knowledge worldwide.
This support empowers Acannability to advance its mission of becoming the leading collective for educational outreach and quality standards and to become a trusted hub for accurate hemp and cannabis product information.
“This industry is far beyond the days of acting as the taboo posterchild,” said Brad Spirrison, director of business development at Acannability, in a press release. “By building an army of industry experts and resources, pulling up a chair to the same open table, we can develop member-driven messaging opportunities to spread the word on this game-changing plant," added Spirrison, emphasizing the need for open, impactful discussions on cannabis.
Unified Efforts For Cannabis Advocacy
The campaign kicked off on March 19 in Arizona, Florida and Illinois with ads from Acannability’s acclaimed 2022 “Why Legal?” initiative, featuring messages like “I CANN” and highlighting the diverse forms of cannabis. Plans are afoot to expand this outreach, incorporating elements from the “TLC with your THC” campaign that seeks to enrich public discourse on cannabis.
“The catalyst for the creation of Acannability as the first-ever cannabis advertising cooperative was a gathering of cannabis license holders and hemp innovators,” stated co-founder James Malackowski. “We built Acannability at the urging of the entire supply chain, from field to retail.” Malackowski credits the cooperative’s inception to a unified call from the cannabis community, aiming to foster a comprehensive platform for all stakeholders, from producers to consumers, emphasizing health and wellness.
