UAL Corporation UAUA announced on Tuesday morning that it easily beat consensus Wall Street estimates.
UAL Corporation (UAUA) reported that its 2nd quarter net income surged to $273 million, or $1.29 per share, up from $28 million, or 19 cents per share, a year earlier.
The company reported that its earnings from operations were $430 million, or $1.95 per share, while revenue climbed 28.4% to $5.16 billion.
According to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of $1.75 per share, on revenue of $5.11 billion.
Shares of UAUA fell 0.80% to $21.18 on Monday. Analysts covering the stock have a consensus price target of $34 per share.
Chicago, Illinois based UAL Corporation provides air transportation services through its subsidiaries. Through its subsidiaries, it carries passengers as well as cargo and operates nearly 3,300 domestic and international flights daily.
