If You Are A Potterhead Who Cannot Get Enough Of Information Supplied By Books And Movies, Here Are 5 'Harry Potter' Fan Theories That Will Change How You See the Wizarding World

Ever since I read the first ‘Harry Potter‘ book, I have been hooked. Since then, I have read every literature I could find (multiple times) and watched the movies like my life depended on it. But, I still want to know more about the wizarding world.

Eventually, my thirst for more information related to the (albeit) fictional, but incredibly addictive ‘Harry Potter’ world brought me to fan theories, five of which I have listed below (and some of them actually make sense).

Harry And Sirius: Family Ties?

The bond between Harry Potter and his godfather Sirius Black was always uncanny, which is why many of us were completely heartbroken when he died. But why was their relationship so special? Well, some fans think that Harry was more than just Sirius's best friend's son. In ‘Order of the Phoenix,’ when the Black family tree was shown, some fans found a connection between the Potters and Blacks. Considering that almost all pureblood families in the wizarding world intersect at one point, this theory is highly plausible.

Ron Weasley: The Unintentional Seer

Now, this one is a bit far-fetched, but nonetheless very interesting, so brace yourself. Ron Weasley might just be a seer, although he doesn't know about his powers. Ron's offhand remarks throughout the series, like the one he makes about Tom Riddle killing Moaning Myrtle, could be considered evidence supporting this theory, or at least that's what some fans think.

Arthur Weasley: The Mastermind Behind The Weasley Clock

Arthur Weasley and his love for tinkering with muggle gadgets have been quite prominently put forth in the books and the movies. This makes this theory highly likely that he was the one who made the famous Weasley Clock, the same one that even got an appreciation from Albus Dumbledore. This popular clock tracks the whereabouts of every Weasley — whether they are in School (Hogwarts), Prison, Home, or at the Dentist.

Albus Dumbledore: The Founder Of Chocolate Frog Card Network

The most popular headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, could have been the founder of the Chocolate Frog card network. Some fans speculate that similar to how some wizard portraits can talk, go from one portrait to another, and still convey messages even after dying, these cards can be used to gather information. If this theory is true, it would explain how Dumbledore always knew everything. Just as Arthur Weasley said in the “Chamber of Secrets,” “Dumbledore already knows you're here, Harry – doesn't miss a trick, that man.

Vernon Dursley And Family: The Horcrux-Induced Hostility

Let me make this straight, nothing excuses the mistreatment Harry had to suffer when he was staying with the Dursleys. But, think about it, given Harry always had a part of Voldemort inside him, just like a Horcrux, could it have influenced their behavior? This theory may not completely eradicate the dislike most of us have toward Vernon Dursley, his wife and Harry's aunt, Petunia Dursley, and their son Dudley Dursley, but it might just explain it.
