Dahlman Rose & Co. Maintains Buy Rating On Weatherford After Earnings (WFT)

Weatherford International WFT reported earnings on July 20th, beating Wall Street estimates. Boosting the company's results were U.S. land and Eastern Hemisphere operations. Weatherford (WFT) reported EPS of $0.11 compared to analysts' consensus estimates of $0.07. Year over year revenues were up 22.3%. Analysts at Dahlman Rose are raising their estimates after the report. The firm has a "Buy" rating on the stock. The analysts wrote, "we are raising our 2010 estimate to $0.61 from $0.55, 2011 to $1.53 from $1.48, and leaving our above consensus 2012 estimates of $2.24 unchanged." During today's trading session, WFT has fallen 2.19% to $15.22. Year-to-date, the stock has lost 15%. Weatherford International Ltd. (Weatherford) is a provider of equipment and services used in the drilling, evaluation, completion, production and intervention of oil and natural gas wells. It conducts operations in approximately 100 countries and has service and sales locations in the oil and natural gas producing regions in the world.
