MetLife Acquires Allstate's Legal Plans Business

Hyatt Legal Plans, a MetLife MET Company today announced that it has acquired Allstate’s ALL group legal plans business, known as "Signature LegalCare.” Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate Hyatt Legal Plans’ service and capabilities to Allstate’s Signature LegalCare sponsors and plan members, including access to the industry’s largest nationwide attorney network,” said Bill Brooks, CEO, Hyatt Legal Plans. “We will be working over the next several weeks to make the administrative transitions as seamless as possible.” “The size and strength of MetLife and the expertise of Hyatt Legal Plans are assurances that this business acquisition is in the best interest of customers,” said Patrick O’Brien, assistant vice president, Allstate Corporation.
