Attention Elden Ring Players: You Need To Defeat These Two Bosses To Gain DLC Access

Zinger Key Points
  • Bandai Namco reminds Elden Ring fans to defeat key bosses before DLC launch.
  • Many players unprepared, as over 62% on PC haven't defeated Mohg, prompting Bandai Namco to emphasize the impending deadline.

With the highly anticipated release of the Elden Ring DLC “Shadow of the Erdtree” imminent, Bandai Namco Holdings ADR NCBDY has issued a reminder to fans to prepare by defeating key bosses from the original game.

In an interview with Famitsu (via IGN), Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki specified that players must defeat both Starscourge Radahn and the optional boss Mohg, Lord of Blood, to access the new content.

The entrance to the DLC is “the withered arm hanging from the cocoon in the Mohg, Lord of Blood boss fight area.”

On June 11, Bandai Namco amplified a tweet from streamer Cohh Carnage, who noted that Steam achievements reveal over 62% of Elden Ring players on PC have not defeated Mohg, meaning a significant portion of the player base is not ready for the DLC. “

The developer quoted Carnage’s post, adding, “You have less than 2 weeks to prepare!”

Similar statistics are seen on PlayStation and Xbox, with about two-thirds of players yet to overcome Mohg.

This is not entirely unexpected, given that Mohg is an optional boss that some players may have skipped while focusing on the main storyline.
