NIO Inc. NIO reportedly revealed on social media platforms that its upgraded virtual voice assistant, NOMI GPT, leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) technology, has surpassed 10 million user interactions.

This milestone was achieved 76 days after NIO launched the new version of its virtual voice assistant, NOMI GPT, on April 12.

CnEV Post reported that NOMI GPT has handled tasks such as trip planning, role-playing, and text creation during its interactions with users.

NOMI GPT has engaged in conversations lasting over 30 minutes with 8,747 people, and the most frequent user interacted with the voice assistant more than 200 times in a single day.

Previously, NOMI primarily handled tasks like playing music, navigation, phone calls, taking photos, and locating battery swap stations.

During an earnings call on March 5, Nio’s founder, chairman, and CEO, William Li, announced plans to enhance NOMI by integrating AI large language models leveraging the computing power of Nio vehicles.

CnEV Post added that this strategic move aims to bolster the competitiveness of Nio’s current product offerings.
