SMART Global Posts Upbeat Results, Joins Aehr Test Systems, MarineMax And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Wednesday

U.S. stocks were mostly higher, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 0.4% on Wednesday.

Shares of SMART Global Holdings, Inc. SGH rose sharply during Wednesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.

SMART Global reported quarterly earnings of 37 cents per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 30 cents. Quarterly sales came in at $300.6 million, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $300 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

SMART Global shares jumped 17.4% to $27.27 on Wednesday.

• Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure, Inc. SOI surged 29% to $10.67. Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure agreed to acquire Mobile Energy Rentals LLC for $200 million.
• Lantheus Holdings, Inc. LNTH climbed 28.6% to $99.97. Lantheus recently appointed Jamie Spaeth as Chief People Officer.
• uniQure N.V. QURE gained 22.6% to $8.19.
• Aehr Test Systems AEHR climbed 21.4% to $15.05 after the company provided preliminary fourth-quarter and FY24 financial results.
• Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. HE gained 15.8% to $9.94.
• Gatos Silver, Inc. GATO climbed 15.3% to $12.86 after the company reported second-quarter Production results with record mill throughput and zinc production.
• Endeavour Silver Corp. EXK shares jumped 10.2% to $4.3801. HC Wainwright & Co. analyst Heiko Ihle reiterated Endeavour Silver with a Buy and maintained a $6.25 price target.
• MarineMax, Inc. HZO climbed 9.3% to $33.18 after Island Capital issued an open letter to shareholders and made an open proposal to acquire up to 100% interest in the YMRS business from MarineMax.
• enCore Energy Corp. EU gained 7.8% to $4.3750.
• Applied Digital Corporation APLD gained 7% to $5.84. Applied Digital appointed industry-leader Chris Jackson as Senior Vice President of Operations.
• NexGen Energy Ltd NXE shares climbed 6.7% to $7.32.
• Vestis Corporation VSTS rose 6% to $12.98.
• CarMax, Inc. KMX rose 5.2% to $76.03.
• Illumina, Inc. ILMN gained 3.7% to $110.67  after the company announced it acquired Fluent BioSciences.
