Why It Matters: This development comes after Musk announced the timeline for the chatbot models of his AI company xAI.

On Monday, while speaking with  Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, Musk said that Grok 2 had finished training and was in the bug-fixing stage, with the official release planned for the following month.

He compared Grok 2's capabilities with OpenAI's AI-powered chatbot, stating it should be on par or close to GPT-4. The tech billionaire also said Grok 3 is currently being trained at the Memphis Data Center and is slated for release by December.

Earlier this week, on Tuesday, Musk also conducted a poll on X, asking if Tesla should invest in Grok’s parent company. This idea has received support from leading market experts including Wedbush analyst Dan Ives, CNBC's "Mad Money" host Jim Cramer, and popular Tesla investor Sawyer Merritt.
