The Indie World Showcase will lead the way, giving the spotlight to a diverse lineup of independent titles. While specific games haven’t been teased, past showcases have featured a variety of creative and innovative projects.
In April 2024, for instance, the Indie World Showcase brought attention to games like Steamworld Heist 2, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate.
Following the Indie World Showcase, the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase will highlight titles from Nintendo’s publishing and development partners. The last Partner Showcase in February 2024 featured notable titles such as Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.
Additionally, it marked the arrival of Xbox first-party games on the Switch with Grounded and Pentiment making their debut on the platform.
However, its worth noting that Nintendo has tempered expectations by confirming that the successor to the Nintendo Switch will not be discussed. The company has previously hinted that the next-generation console is not expected before April 2025.
