Robinhood Issues Invite For October 16 Event to Introduce New Trading Products

Robinhood Markets Inc. HOOD has issued an invite for October. The invite named ‘Robinhood Presents: The Legend Awakens‘ said Robinhood will broadcast a live stream during which co-founder and CEO Vlad Tenev will introduce new trading products.

The event is scheduled for October 16 at 6:30 PM ET.

In March, the company hosted Robinhood Presents: The New Gold Standard, and it introduced its first credit card, the Robinhood Gold Card.

The company said the credit card is exclusively for Robinhood Gold members.

The Robinhood Gold Card has no annual or foreign transaction fees and offers a 3% cash back on all categories.

Earlier this month, Robinhood launched a share lending program in the U.K., allowing users to generate passive income. This initiative is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its global market presence.

Recently, the company reported operating data for August, with total funded customers increasing to 24.3 million, up approximately 60,000 from July and one million year-over-year.

Total assets under custody were up about 60% from year-over-year to $143.6 billion. Net Deposits were $3.3 billion at the end of the month.

Equity notional trading volumes were $96.2 billion, up 8% sequentially and 61% year-over-year.

Options contracts traded were 146.9 million, down 8% from July but up 37% year over year, and crypto notional trading volumes were $5.4 billion, up 2% from July but up 145% year over year.

Since January, the Robinhood stock has moved almost 80% higher and around 21% over the last month.

Price Action: HOOD stock is up 2.56% at $22.20 at the last check on Friday.
