Markets Turn Sharply Higher

The markets moved sharply higher on a weaker dollar and solid earnings from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. WMT and The Home Depot, Inc. HD and a buyout offer for Potash Corp./Saskatchewan (USA) POT for $130.00 a share. This started the markets higher and light volume continued to help. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF SPY is up $1.72 to $109.98.
