Verizon Business, a division of Verizon Communications Inc VZ, has broadened its global IoT capabilities by adding services from two new collaborators including, Singtel, a Singapore-based communications tech company, and Skylo, a satellite service provider.
This collaboration strengthens Verizon Business’ capacity to deliver wireless IoT connectivity in over 200 regions worldwide. Customers can now access a mix of satellite, roaming, and native eSIM services, all centrally managed through Verizon's ThingSpace IoT management platform.
Singtel is now partner of Verizon’s Global IoT Orchestration service, allowing customers to activate devices globally through partner Mobile Network Operators (MNOs).
“Our IoT services and platforms are designed to meet our customers’ needs wherever they do business, which is all around the world. We’re thrilled to see Global IoT Orchestration in-market now and satellite-enhanced IoT coverage in the U.S. to be available nearterm, enabling worldwide connectivity for our customers from the best partners in the industry,” said Shamik Basu, Vice President, Strategic Connectivity, Verizon Business.

Singtel will play a key role in supporting Verizon’s IoT services across the Asia Pacific region, building on previous collaborations with Bell Canada and Telenor IoT.
The service is now commercially available, broadening Verizon’s global connectivity reach. Network operators worldwide can now expand their IoT services internationally, integrating with existing networks.
At the same time, Skylo is poised to enhance Verizon's coverage within the U.S., especially in regions where cellular signals are either weak or nonexistent.
Leveraging satellite connectivity, Verizon aims to bring IoT services to areas that have historically lacked reliable terrestrial network coverage. In the future, Skylo's satellite services will further extend coverage beyond the U.S.
Global IoT Orchestration, which incorporates the services from Singtel and Skylo, is fully integrated into Verizon's ThingSpace platform, allowing businesses to manage their IoT devices, both domestically and internationally, from one centralized system.
The service is currently available for U.S.-based customers looking to activate their IoT devices internationally.
Price Action: VZ shares traded higher by 0.09% at $42.91 last check Wednesday.
