Palantir Technologies Inc. PLTR shares are trading lower premarket on Monday.
On Friday, S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that Palantir will join the S&P 100 index.
Also, Voyager Technologies stated on Monday that it deepened its collaboration with Palantir for AI-powered solutions aimed at improving Space Domain Awareness.
This partnership will focus on proactively identifying and mitigating potential collisions and threats in space.
The open-architecture Space Domain Awareness (SDA) system integrates data from existing on-orbit assets, utilizing Voyager’s VPX signal processing electronics, chassis, signals intelligence software, and mission services, along with Palantir’s AI and machine learning engines.
The collaboration aims to accelerate the transition of the SDA system from TRL4 to TRL8, targeting a hosted payload deployment in 2026.
Matt Magaña, President of Defense and National Security at Voyager, said, “We’re developing an integrated solution, harnessing the power of AI with Palantir’s software stack and taking advantage of real-time radio frequency streams and imagery to perform space-based object detection, identification, classification and tracking.”
Robert Imig, Head of USG Research and Development at Palantir, stated, “We are further extending the reach of our AI solutions from ground to space, a critical frontier where demands are intensifying as the environment grows increasingly contested.”
Last week, the company delivered mobile battle stations to the U.S. Army under its $178 million military deal.
