Elon Musk has once again stirred up headlines by adding another member to his ever-expanding family. His latest announcement revealed the birth of his new son—widely believed to be his 14th child—with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis

Musk and Zilis already share three kids: twins Strider and Azure, born quietly in November 2021, and daughter Arcadia, who arrived in February 2024.

In a message on X, Zilis wrote, "Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia's birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️." Musk responded with a heart emoji, keeping his reply brief and warm.

Musk has made no secret of his frustration with low birth rates, warning that "if people don't have more children, civilization is going to crumble." He believes that dwindling fertility not only stunts economic growth but also puts the future workforce at risk.

Beyond his latest batch of kids with Zilis, he has six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson, and three with his former partner, singer Grimes. While his children with Wilson have grown into adulthood, his remaining offspring are still very young.

Adding even more intrigue to the story, this family update comes just two weeks after right-wing influencer Ashley St. Clair claimed that she and Musk share a 5‑month‑old son. St. Clair has now filed a petition for sole custody of her child—identified in court documents by the initials R.S.C.—and insists that Musk "has had no involvement in his care and upbringing."

Despite acknowledging his paternity in various written exchanges, Musk has yet to address the matter publicly, and a judge has set a May court appearance for him.

Not everyone is buying into Musk's alarmist views about demographic decline. Demographer Jenny Kleeman, for instance, said in The Guardian that while lower birth rates are a concern, there isn't enough evidence to suggest that we're on the brink of collapse.

Meanwhile, experts emphasize that boosting birth rates is only part of the solution; supporting strong, stable families is equally crucial.

Critics argue that Musk's own family dramas—such as his falling out with daughter Vivian Wilson and the unresolved custody issues with St. Clair—tend to undermine his credibility as a champion of family values.

A recent piece from Politico suggests that his unconventional approach might actually be fueling public skepticism about his lifestyle and message.
