Morpheus, a platform for creating decentralized AI agents, will hold its first MOR Agents Builder Event, a three-day conference in Austin from April 22 to 24, focusing on the development of decentralized AI technologies.

Organized with partners including the Decentralized AI Society (DAIS), BASE, Akash AKT/USD, and Coinbase Developer Platform, the event aims to bring together developers, researchers, and builders to collaborate on AI agents that operate on a peer-to-peer network.

The conference follows Morpheus' recent initiatives to incentivize AI development, reflecting a growing interest in open-source AI solutions.

The event will provide Morpheus builders a platform to showcase their AI agents to capital providers, with access to automated funding through Morpheus' smart contracts.

Earlier this year, on Jan. 15, Morpheus launched $10 million in MOR token rewards for its AI builders, following its mainnet rollout.

Between Jan.15 and Feb. 15, 75 builder subnets earned over $1 million in rewards, according to Morpheus data.

The conference will be co-hosted by Venice.AI, a privacy-focused AI platform with over 100,000 daily active users.

"The establishment of the MOR Agents Builder Event gives expression to our mission to democratize access to Decentralized AI, uniting developers, researchers, and builders to collaborate on open, transparent, and equitable AI systems," said David Johnston, a Morpheus open-source contributor.

Michael Casey, Chairman of DAIS, highlighted the event's significance, noting Morpheus' rapid growth since a chance meeting with Johnston in 2024.

"It has been nothing short of inspiring to witness the rapid growth of the energetic, vibrant Morpheus ecosystem, whose community of builders are creating the Agents that will revolutionize the AI economy," Casey said.

DAIS, a founding member of Morpheus, supports the platform's mission to counter centralized AI dominance by fostering a decentralized network where users control their own AI agents for tasks like crypto trading and smart contract execution.

Morpheus operates on a network powered by the MOR token, which has over 5,000 holders and trades on platforms like Aerodrome AERO/USD, Uniswap UNI/USD, and CoinEx.

The platform, supported by hundreds of open-source developers and partners like Lumerin, allows users to interact via a ChatGPT-like interface, offering features such as decentralized data routing, crypto payments for AI services, and an AI marketplace.

Morpheus recently launched its ‘Forge' infrastructure platform, enabling developers to build and manage AI agents using tools like natural language processing and automation, with applications ranging from personal assistants to enterprise solutions.
