Zhejiang, China-based electric vehicle (EV) company Zeekr Intelligent Tech ZK plans to launch advanced driver-assistance capabilities for free to local customers.

Zeekr CEO Andy An shared this development ahead of a launch event today, according to CNBC.

The system will enable cars to function almost autonomously, provided that drivers maintain their hands on the steering wheel and regulatory approval is granted in most cities across China.

Zeekr intends to utilize Nvidia Corp‘s NVDA Orin X chips and lidar technology for its system with plans to deploy more advanced chips and lidar sensors.

Nvidia expects its automotive vertical business to grow to about $5 billion in 2026 from $4 billion expected this year.
