This new technology helps users discover relevant products faster and more intuitively, adapting to their changing habits in real-time, making grocery shopping efficient.
Instacart has rolled out AI-driven Health Tags, delivering comprehensive nutritional details to help customers make better-informed and healthier food choices.
In partnership with the American Diabetes Association (ADA), the company has launched its inaugural “Inspiration Page,” which includes diabetes-friendly product suggestions, health guidance, and shoppable recipes.

This initiative aims to make healthier shopping easier by providing research-backed nutritional advice, further supporting customers’ wellness goals.

In addition, customers can customize their Smart Shop preferences, selecting from over 14 dietary options, including gluten-free, vegan, and low-sodium diets.
This customization helps Instacart provide tailored recommendations that meet individual dietary needs.
The new Health Tags feature is designed to make shopping more intuitive by categorizing over 500,000 products with labels like “keto,” “heart healthy,” and “high fiber.”
These tags help users navigate through the extensive product catalog, making it easier to find suitable products and make more informed decisions.
