On CNBC's “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Kari Firestone of Aureus Asset Management said Microsoft Corporation MSFT is a new safe haven stock.
It’s similar to how Apple Inc. APPL was a safe haven for years.
As per the recent news, Microsoft's joint venture Wicresoft proposed to end its China operations from Tuesday. The move involves the downsizing of ~2,000 staff, Reuters reported, citing Chinese media outlet Caijing on Monday.

After the market close on Tuesday, Palo Alto announced it had surpassed $1.5 billion in cumulative sales through Alphabet Inc's GOOGGOOGL Google Cloud Marketplace as of April.

On the earnings front, Dominion Energy will host its first-quarter earnings call on Thursday, May 1. Analysts expect the company to report quarterly earnings at 77 cents per share, up from 55 cents per share in the year-ago period. Dominion projects quarterly revenue of $3.91 billion, compared to $3.63 billion a year earlier.
Joshua Brown of Ritholtz Wealth Management named Netflix, Inc. NFLX as his final trade.
JP Morgan analyst Doug Anmuth, on Tuesday, maintained Netflix with an Overweight rating but lowered the price target from $1,150 to $1,025.
