Amazon to Sell Unlimited TV/Movie Viewing (AMZN, GE, TWX)

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Amazon.com AMZN is looking to develop a service that gives subscribers unlimited viewing (via internet) of certain television shows and movies for a flat rate. According to the WSJ, “The Seattle retailer has in recent weeks and months proposed a Web-based subscription service to several major media companies, including General Electric Co.'s GE NBC Universal, Time Warner Inc. TWX and Viacom Inc. VIA, among others, according to people with knowledge of the proposal.” Amazon currently sells individual episodes of some TV shows on a per episode basis for $1.99.
