Jefferies Comments On Return Of Apple Products To Costco

In a note released earlier today, the team at Jefferies noted that Costco

started selling Apple

products again in late June. This marks the first time the company has sold Apple products since 2010. According to the analysts, the product spread includes hot items, such as iPad air and iPhone 5s and appear to be "highly" competitive in price. The team noted consumer electronics has been a weak area for Costco and says the return of Apple's products should help. However, the analysts cautioned margins in this area have not been historically high.
